Perform the examination as in Genu Valgum


Key findings

 Look - Swelling on anterior tibial tuberosity

Feel - Temperature

           Bony hard in consistency


          tenderness

Movement

      Tightness of quadriceps and patellar tendon

Distal  neurovascular structures

     Sensory , motor examination - normal

    DPA, PTA - normal

Examine -Ankle and Hip

Shoes exmination



Investigation


 X-ray Knee - Fragmentation of Tibial Tuberosity.

Management

      Reassure

   Non operative

       Cast


 Why this happens ?

 Growt spurt in this age causes bone to grow longer than soft tissues such as quadriceps .
