Double breasting of capsule of Ist MTP joint

release on plantar aspect
TA
transfer to 2nd , 3rd cuneiform
FHL
transfer to Ist MT base through a tunnel passing from plantar to dorsal aspect
so FHL acts as a DF of Ist MT
