What is Dorsal bunion  ?
Deformity where DF of Ist MT head , PF of great toe
Exostosis form on dorsum of Ist MT head

MTP joint may even subluxate
Plantar part of joint capsule and FHB may contract.
Types
Weak Peroneus Longus , Strong TA
Paralysis of all muscle except triceps surae and long toe flexors which are strong leading to PF of great toe .
FHB adds to effect .
Along with Hllaux Rigidus and Flat foot .

How to treat dorsal bunion ?
Flexible
Correct muscle imbalance between ankle motors
If rigidus
Do Lapidus procedure
Double breasting of capsule of Ist MTP joint
Capsule release on plantar aspect
TA transfer to 2nd , 3rd cuneiform
FHL transfer to Ist MT base through a tunnel passing from plantar to dorsal aspect so FHL acts as a DF of Ist MT
